“Why This Man” Now Live On Hotel Masticadores

Poem by Joni ©️2024 – Image by Matthew Henry via Unsplash

Why This Man

my feet wiggle with soil and the last crop of the season
they tantalize my senses as I ponder each logical reason

while my heart still beats rapidly from the tender touch
of a man I barely know, yet dare, to crave this much

Why This Man

connecting freckles, on my arms, and makeup naked face
I smell my white dress, to seek his scent, if only but a trace

eyelash brushes while we kissed, linger on my skin, as if to say
don’t forget even one breath that passed between us this day

Why This Man

Heading over now Joni.. congratulations.. and great to see you back on the horse again my dear. 👏👏

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Thank you Nigel so much. I wish I was back on the horse again, but there is always hope and prayer and we are going out of State to get some good care. We are already looking at houses and mentally trying to grasp moving again so soon. Still, no one here would see me (not even my own Dr. here for almost 2 months). As you know these posts are scheduled months in advance. So I will be lying back down soon. But in about 10 more days I will be going to see someone in another State. God is so great. By the way my friend, I will be posting something that we prepared to let people know why I have not been active. My friends deserve to know, why their kindnesses have not been reciprocated. Thanks for being such a great friend to both of us Nigel and also I don’t know if I congratulated you personally for being in Mich’s new edition of the amazing book she is currently promoting at the Country’s biggest book fair (Manilla) but I am so happy for you. One thing about Mich – she is never afraid or threatened by new and amazing talent but instead promotes it. This is the sign of a confident, kind, amazingly talented, and gracious spirit that shares the limelight. I don’t know any other writer personally, within my circle, that has had 5 number Number One best selling books – many of us have had best sellers but there is a difference. Also when you are a number 1 best seller in multiple Countries which she has been, that makes her an international number 1 best seller. Thank you for your continued love, prayers and support our friend. We want to see you make all your dreams come true – your storytelling and poetry is so good and as we have told you many times you should be writing NetFlix stories. Hugs and love

Beautiful Joni! I really enjoyed your poem! <3

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Dearest Carol Ann, thank you so much for your kindness, my precious friend. Carol Anne your piece, “The Darkness of My Thoughts” was so brilliantly descriptive and brave to publish on Hotel. Mich has always been an advocate for those who have suffered any kind of abuse and one who is not afraid to publish controversial subjects because she wants to educate. This is so true of many other of the branches of Masticadores that were started by j re Crivello. Mich is also a director of the magazine.
I can’t even begin to imagine what you have been through my friend but my childhood was a nightmare and I only know that I am so grateful that you have a mother who adores you and whom you love so deeply. She sounds like a magnificent person who adds joy to your life every day. So thank you for sharing and trusting us to appreciate your sad but gorgeously penned feelings. Every child deserves safety and a sense of safety, that is one of the most basic of things that we all need to survive as children. Bless you and your generous heart my friend. Love Joni 🥰

Thank you so much for reading my dear friend Timothy, you too, have been a true friend along this journey of mine and a friend I have treasured admired, and appreciated for years now. I hope that you and your much-loved family are all well and enjoying this repose from the heat. I am starting to enjoy seeing the beginning of the bright colors that are painting the clothing of the mighty trees. Sending gratitude and blessings my friend.

      1. Bless you, Joni, my friend. 💖

A wonderful piece of “Classic Joni” poetry! Gorgeous writing, my friend. Here’s hoping you can find some respite from your neck ailment. It saddens me to know you’re in pain, so I’m sending you some clear blue Colorado skies to hopefully lift your spirits a bit. Wishing you and Scott all the best. 😊🌸

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Oh, thank you dear Mike for both reading my friend and sending some blue Colorado skies. It is always such a joy to hear from you as well. I am feeling hopeful I have booked an appointment at a hospital clinic in another State where I have been reconnected to another healthcare provider as well. So I am feeling hopeful that perhaps this may be the blessing I have been seeking. Meanwhile, I am so grateful that I still have so many people who truly do care about me because I have not been able to reciprocate. Sending love, hugs, and blessings to you. Both Mich and j re crivello have been very understanding as well. So I am feeling very grateful and blessed my friend. Glad to hear you have some good clear weather. 🥰

Dearest Cindy, thank you so much for your kind response, Cindy. Please forgive the late response. We are currently in Winston-Salem, where I am receiving great healthcare. I have been sick, hence my absence online. I want you to know that I am so happy about your new book that will be out before long, and am grateful for your success. You work so hard and have accomplished so much in poetry, prose, and beautiful writing in a short time. Yet you have spent your life helping others, and it is a perfect book for you to publish. I am very happy for you. Many blessings, Cindy, to both you and your beautiful family. Love Joni
