September’s Garden

Dawn, an awakening that
beckons idyllic, downy light, an endowment gently warming my green and thirsty skin.  The last remaining flowers. I am the protector of the wonderous scentsthat whiff their way, often, to unsuspecting humans.  My limbs of love hide deep beneath the ground’s surface, close to the red brick path.  I share my nutrients, and a wealth of nourishment to gift this last season’s fine-spun array of florets.

May your heart continue to spread the wisdom that has been such a gift to me to read and get to know you, my friend. Your gracious and kind spirit spreads joy and love in whatever you write, my dear friend. We have known each other for a while now, and I deeply respect your talent. It is your love of the things in life that matter that has always connected with me, my kind friend. I have written one last post for a while now and I hope you will read it and I hope it will explain why you have not heard much from me. One thing that I didn’t mention was that the publishing of my book took an emotional toll on me because I love my parents, and they had a hard life growing up as well. However, I know I did the right thing but it took a toll on me. Know that you are in my heart and we will catch up my friend. Love you.

      1. KK says:

So sorry to know about your emotional toll. I was not aware, but you are always in my prayers and memories. I hope it too shall pass. Take care, and start writing, as usual, as you have a great talent which should be known to this world. Love and blessings to you, Joni! Stay blessed, always 🙏💖

I left a comment over at Chewers, as you know, but wanted to say here as well that your writing is transcendent, Joni. There’s such a delicate ethereal vibe to this piece. It’s magical. Wonderful stuff, dear friend! 😊

Thank you, my dear friend. I was so glad that I saw that you were posted on Gobblers and your poem I started to read and could tell I could not get through it without tears because it was touching my heart so profoundly, so Scott read it, and we were both blown away. What a gift you have, my friend. I am glad you enjoyed this piece. Please read my final post for a while in WordPress. I had a good day yesterday and was online a lot, but I have really paid for it today. Hope is on the way, and I wrote about that on WordPress. Love you, Mike, never stop writing. Hope you have had a chance to check out House of Heart. Or Holly Rene Hunter, as I think you would truly love her work. ❤️

  3. I love the imagery of your heart-felt description of nature, Joni. 💖

Thank you so much, Timothy. I hope that you know that your reading and comments have been fuel for my writing and that you are a special person supporting so many writers, and I feel so blessed to be amongst them. I am so grateful that you enjoy my writing because I have read enough to know what a gifted writer you are as well. However, there is so much more I want to read by all the WordPress friends that I have made over the years. I am very fortunate to call you a friend. Love to you and your family

Thank you. I do not follow many blogs, but I do try and return comments as soon as I am able.

September is a good month… while not quite autumn… I was (am still) married in September. 🙂
