electricity surges from your auburn hair
men thirst for your flesh like a ripe pear
secrets warily etched in red ink on pillow
seek wisdom from God’s weeping willow

acquiesce to their tenders as you dare
as Samson, strength births in your hair
secure your hopes, dreams, and power
oh exquisite poppy, you glorious flower

    1. I think you could be right my wise friend. I once read an article in glamour or one of those fashion magazines that the most beautiful women in the world are the most insecure. I don’t buy those magazines anymore, although I have always loved fashion, because I don’t like how women are portrayed. The bone thin look encourages eating disorders and makes women who don’t starve themselves feel bad. Thank you for your very thought provoking comment. It is a great question.       1. Thank you Joni ❤️ it was your words that prompted the question. Maybe others didn’t go there but it’s what popped up into my head.

      2. There is a lot of truth, I believe, in what you say wise one. Often I think this happens as beautiful women want acceptance. I have had managers tell me they didn’t want to hire a women who was quite qualified for a job. When I asked what the problem was their response. She won’t be able to get anything done nor will my men because they will be around her desk all the time. My response, you can’t refuse to hire a beautiful woman. I have seen other women be so unkind to women that are beautiful. Jealousy is a cruel enemy. This is a very interesting subject wise one. Perhaps one of us should do a post some day on this subject. Some of the most beautiful women I have ever met is because they have compassion, grace, kindness towards others and a giving spirit. These shells we lose but our spirits stay with us. ❤️🤗🦋 I always love talking to you. A wise soul with so much wisdom to share my friend. Big hugs. ❤️🤗🦋Love Joni

  12. I think people with beauty or money might always feel secure in a relationship, wondering if the attention and love was real or just superficial. We live in an age of hey look at me, but when people look at us, we may be pleased, but we often take offense or develop insecurities. The beauty within is far more important. I have read in more than one article based on interviews and statistics that the most beautiful women in the world are the most insecure. I couldn’t agree more.       2. Wonder what I was trying to say haha it looks like I was on drugs or something but nothing is legal here we are in NC. Can’t even successfully enjoy a glass of wine as I get migraines.       4. Here I thought I was being such a good host. Yep broccoli does the same thing to me as well, ha ha. Will take you up on fixing the porch, it works great for lighting all the candles at once, and knocking down small trees. Goodness. And she knows them all.       14. Haha don’t you hated when that happens. Wow the only beautiful man I ever see where I live is in our house. Sounds like you are in a perfect spot for it. I understand needing to be ready. By the way Scott and I were in Fiddler on the roof. Scott was in local plays and played the MC in Cabaret. That was his last show. I didn’t want that life. I saw things I didn’t like going on in that world. That was our last play together.
