An Ameri-Ku by Joni
Oh my mesmerizing love, you awaken my deep desire
with your hot hand on my bare shoulder,
intoxicating smells tantalizing taste buds, our fine wine
whetting our appetite for one another,
toasting our love, art hanging, and baskets of light,
dancing notes by Auclair-Fortin playing, my heart now sways
twenty-five years passing like a few days
The Ameri-Ku/Euro-Ku is a style of poetry created by Francisco Bravo Cabrera (aka Valenciartist). This style is an homage to the traditional Japanese Haiku that highlights aspects of American/European/Western culture.

I am so glad you love the new form Tiffany. Yes, Francisco developed the philosophy and specifics for the style. I love it too. You are sweet Tiffany to write such a kind comment. I am glad the love is transported through my words. Thank you. Marriage is a blessing when you have the same core values and faith too. I think it takes work to make it last and to keep the passion. I remember when I was young and I thought love was something that never hurt and also held the exact degree of passion as when you first met your person. If you are truly blessed I believe you work together become great friends and still have passion but not where you are on every piece of furniture in the house, if you know what I mean.
