When I read the beautiful poetry in your books, Mich, there are innumerable and compelling lessons shared, as well as joy and sorrow. In other words, they are filled with soulful and meaningful bits of real life, which make your work so enthralling. After Rain Skies is representative of so many women and men globally who have suffered great loss or abuse and have a warrior’s voice to share. You imparted this precious gift to us, appreciative writers, and shared the joy with this wonderful NGO, Perak Women Society (PWW).
I know that their strong foundation is built on helping women restore their power and strength, and I, too, would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to Ms. Yip Seiw Keen.
We are all like rocks in a wall of resilience, strength, and hope. Each one of us has our story and I am grateful to everyone who lends an ear, shares the message and encourages unity and global awareness.
Thank you, Mich, for empowering others to acknowledge and publicize their truth without fear of judgment. You provide a canvas on which to paint their true emotions so that fellow warriors are never divided but gratefully united.
Poetry about resilience is wonderful to read. Thank you Joni ❤️
Thank you dear Holly for your gracious comment and kind heart as always. Sending my love
Wonderfu, Joni.
Thank you Timothy for reading. It feels good to believe others are finding some solace in projects we are part of and believe in. These are wild times we are living in and seeing this today felt like a hug from the other side of the world. This comment feels the same. Hope all is well at the ranch with all the family and surrounding community of creatures. Big hugs 🤗
The poetry must be great, Joni. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. My best to you and yours.
Dear Timothy, Thank you so much. It is a great bunch of poets putting their whole hearts into their work. Mich has been a support to battered women for years in her Country, and they are grateful, as is she, for what their organization does. Most of the book proceeds also go to continue her support of the PWW. I hope that you, your family, and your children had a great visit earlier this month with the grandkids and that it was a blessing for everyone. Our grandkids are now all taller than my husband and I which is not an enormous stretch as neither of us is tall. However, the rate at which young boys grow is amazing to me. We are excited to see them and the whole family in June. Blessings to you and yours always, Timothy.
I am so thankful to be invited to your community Joni, to read every artist stories & also to read all the comments. I feel like I just had a special treat. Love you always
Thank you for your kind comment, and I am grateful that you are part of the community that welcomes everyone. Many blessings.
How wonderful, Joni! <3 "We are all like rocks in a wall of resilience, strength, and hope." May that be true.
Thank you, dearest Anna. I know that women get over their insecurities, hopefully at some point, and that we realize that we only have ourselves to please. The world does not make it easy. I want to believe that this quote I came up with is, in fact, true. Although it feels like the disinfranchised, the poor, and those we welcomed at one time into our world is a time that is fading into something sad. I pray you are well, my friend, as someone who has so often protected those in need with her astute legal prowess and desire to help said people with your career as an attorney. You are one of my heroes, Anna, and I love you for that. Thank you always for your kind words. Love and blessings
A beautiful acknowledgment, Joni, not only of Mich’s vision and hard work, but of the strength and resilience of all those who contributed to the outstanding collection. It was wonderful to see your book honored in her post as well. Congratulations, my friend. Hugs.
Hello dear friend, what a thoughtful and much appreciated comment. I have been almost completely offline, but I had to repost such an honor that Michelle bestowed upon me and all the other poets who were contributors to this anthology. I have found it difficult to be caught up in social media when my bee and hummingbird garden calls me. A blessing to be outdoors and to feel the kindred love of animals, birds and the trees. Have an amazing week and big hugs to you as well. <3 <3 <3
