dreams of mine
embrace forlorn
window weepers
cotton candy clouds
whisper riddles soft
winged rainbow
where bikes glide by
my tic-tac freckles
adorn pale skin
dancing to flutes
shift deliberately
like a golden queen

This poem is beautiful in so many ways. Dreamlike, wistful, filled with incredibly creative imagery and sentiments that touch the heart and soul. I love the final four lines:
“child tears evaporate
it rains rubies
we wake together
like folds in sheets”

We have both sad and happy thoughts on most days when we have been through extreme abuse. However, writing those feelings down help me and others like me to handle my life with purpose. Our Thanksgiving was definitely a blessing, Joni. We went to our daughter and son-in-law’s home, a really nice place, and son-in-law Noah cooked a fantastic meal!

It was thank you Timothy. We did not go to Seattle, but my daughter had about 32 people, including family members, friends, and employees. We had a quiet time in a small town, not too far from where we live with a nice dinner and stayed in a lovely B&B. It was peaceful. Thank you so much. 🤗
