You can not imagine what I did the night before as my mom, told me I was not allowed to stay where she was staying at the one place in my entire childhood which was at least a semi-safe place. I stayed with a cousin that lived in base housing and I was really angry at my dad, at the time-for organizing his own suicide with my mom’s help, which eventually I will share that whole story. There were thousands of men on that base and of all the people in the world I could have run into out with my cousin, was my second grade boyfriend. I caught the eye of a man at the bar, it was very loud and we started talking and when he said his first name, I told him I thought that was funny because I had a little boyfriend in second grade with that name and he had a twin sister. Then he said, Joni, and I made him show me his driver’s license because I couldn’t believe this was happening. I was so sad and lonely that night and he lived on a ranch not too far away. He let me ride his beautiful prized horse as I was an avid rider, and then he spent the whole night just holding me – I had someone to listen to how I was feeling, and someone who held me while I cried. He never once even tried to take advantage of me. Now that is a good man. I will always remember him and that night. I honestly felt so alone and I also believe in angels and God of course, I will always think he was an angel or God sent this person to me because seriously what are the odds. Wild story Tim but somehow I think you will appreciate me sharing this little tidbit of information. Thank you for watching and caring my dear friend. Sending my love Tim. 🌹
