Celebrating Our New Art Piece – Thank You, Tiffany Arp Daleo!

Tiffany Arp Daleo is an incredibly gifted artist who works in mixed media.  She has shown her work professionally in many places and continues to amaze us with her talents.  She is a successful painter and photographer.  Her work often makes me feel peaceful.  We had a hard time picking between three paintings (Eggs Under Water, One Eyed Krak and Goleta) and my husband and I spent all day deciding which one to make the center of a newly decorated room.  “Eggs Under Water” won the vote in the end.  The poem I wrote below (©️2026) is dedicated to Tiffany and this gorgeous piece of artwork.

Source of Life

we are the delicate
petals upon the earth
soft as the ripe plums
in a warm pudding
our lips are scented breath
petrichor a harbor as it settles
on early, dawning leas
our bodies sway with ease
in the vibrant waters of the seas
as part of her ancient life
reeds and kelp brush our skin
at peace, where it all begins
eggs float like white pearls
she brings hope, and new birth
the women of this earth!

“My artwork is a reflection of the emotions that I create through intuitive abstract paintings and mixed media art. I am interested in color and how it affects our moods and feelings, and I love adding texture as an extra for the senses.” – Tiffany Arp Daleo

  1. I found mystery floating in a living
    primordial ocean whilst reading
    your poem, Joni. The experience
    greatly enhanced by Tiffany’s
    colourfully creative artwork (and
    I’m not a woman 😎).

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Oh, thank you David, and how glad I am that you are not a woman. I love your poetry and perspective on and about life. I am glad you enjoyed the poem my friend. I wonder if you have been busy. It is hard not to get wrapped up in crazy right now with all the madness around us. I love Tiffany’s work and looking at it makes me remember my youth and late teens (remember how wonderful that felt.) We thought we would never get old, and that 30 year olds had already seen the best of life. Now we find joy where we can and hold on tight to the warm beside us in bed at night and are thankful for every night the world still exist. You are a good man and please give my best to your sweetie. Thank you so much for visiting and I am so glad you enjoyed Tiffany’s artwork. Blessings, Joni

      1. Reprint of my to reply your kind
        comment on my ‘Bipartinsane’ post:

Mi perdoni per il ritardo, Joni 🙏
Due to a lengthy hot and dry summer,
with extreme fire danger 🔥 here in
        Australia 🐨 🇦🇺 🦘 I’ve needed to
take a break from WordPress. Our
home is surrounded by forest 🌳
and I’ve been busy fireproofing the
place. Fortunately for Linda & myself
        the multiple bushfires this season
have stayed away from our wee farm.
I’m sure that David, the Skeptic, has
more than filled the small void left
        by my reluctant absence 😎
I’ve tried to keep up with the fracas
emanating from the US, but the never
ending madness seems to be picking
up pace. Yet, I have made a futile
        attempt to dispense some poetic
justice. Or at least express my disgust.

        (Fortunately we’ve had some recent
rain as Australia heads into Autumn 🍂 )

      2. jonicaggiano says:

I am sorry to hear that David. It must be a bit scary – I am crazy afraid of fire because when my mom would get drunk she caught the pans and once the cabinets on fire while cooking and I was only five. I will say a prayer for you and Linda to be safe. Yes, it is crazy here – I feel like we are moving in slow motion toward something we might never recover from and I don’t understand where the people are. Why did they vote for this man a second or first time – May God help us all. Anyway, tomorrow is a catch up day for me on WordPress and I look forward to reading your poem – I can’t wait. Your work is always a trip – I love the way you make up by just saying what you mean but in such a wild ride. No one else has your style (it is nice to have a uniqueness to your work,) not something everyone can say. I will read your piece tomorrow, I am excited to read what you wrote. I know you two will take care of each other – and I will prayer for your safety and your trees. People just don’t get trees. They are so smart – between their neuro-net which is made of fungus and makes it possible for them to communicate with one another – their are trees that walk – check it out it is fascinating. When I go to heaven I plan to talk to a lot of people but trees and animals are going to be something I look forward to as well. Don’t stop writing my friend – even if you just right a line or two when the mood strikes you – that is what I do. Staying safe and taking care of those we love is more important then WordPress. (Glad you had some recent rain)

I can see the master’s hand

        In every grain of sand.”

What a beautiful quote from one of the most talented writers, “full of wisdom,” and I love it. Yesterday it was 86, and today it is sleeting and snowing. I know that we are ready to go when the time comes – but we have pushed the limits repeatedly and continue to do so with our beautiful lands. Big hugs and lots of love to you both and always blessings. 🙏🥰

      5. (I think Linda is also glad
        I’m not a woman 🤔 🕶)

      6. jonicaggiano says:

Of that I feel sure. You both seem ageless. Much love to be shared. Yea!!!! ❤️🙏❤️

  2. Your lovely poetry says a lot about Tiffany Arp Daleo’s artwork, Joni. It’s great that you and your husband use it to decorate the room.

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Hi, Timothy – yes we have enjoyed Tiffany’s work for some time now. The sea makes me happy and I can get lost in that piece of art. I am so glad you enjoyed the poem as well. The piece inspires me. I have blessed memories from the pond I spent time in as a young girl, I loved to pretend I was a mermaid. When I was a teenager I loved the Carolina coast and feel in love with the sea. That was back when you could dance in the sand to really good music. If I could ever go back in time it would be to one of those two places and enjoy the breathless beauty of being so young and having my whole life in front of me. Hope you and your family are well my friend. Blessings to you all.

      1. 😍 🙏

      2. jonicaggiano says:

        🥰🙏

  3. I love your poem Joni and Tiffany’s art is stunning.
A beautiful combination which evokes peace 🙏
    Thank you 💖

    1. jonicaggiano says:

My dearest friend and fellow survivor, thank you for reading and for your kind compliment. I can just stare at Tiffany’s painting it makes me feel so peaceful – takes me back to good times. She is very talented. I am delighted you enjoyed the poem, too. Much love, always to you dear Maggie. 🥰🙏

      1. Dear Joni , you are so welcome 🙏🤗
Both your poem and the painting brought much light to a very grey cold day in Scotland.
Much love back to you 🥰❤️🙏
        Take good care Joni xo

      2. jonicaggiano says:

You too, I hope you are able to write in the grey weather, I have a hard time doing so. Thanks for the love back. You can’t have to much of it these days for sure. xoxoxoxo

      3. Thank you 🙏
My muse is a contrary madam at times. 😄 but I have learned not to fight with her, lol.
Two days ago it was like Spring 🌻, now we have gone back to winter .
Oh I know and I always have much ❤️ for you xoxoxo

      4. jonicaggiano says:

My muse is the same way. I don’t push myself either. Same thing happened here too, Maggie. On the 11th it was almost 80 degrees and yesterday first it sleeted and then it snowed. Global warming. haha – people don’t believe in it but when the weather gets worse and worse no one can say they just didn’t know. xoxoxoxo

  4. byngnigel says:

Its a beautiful painting, Joni. And you worte such a lovely poem to accompany this post.

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Thank you Nigel. I am not surprised that you loved the painting my friend. As you live by the amazing sea although I don’t know how often you get to enjoy the sounds and sand – one day when you are a full-time writer, you talented friend. I am delighted that you enjoyed the poem, it is how I feel when I look at the painting. Nigel it was almost 90 degrees here yesterday and today it is snowing. What have we done to God’s beautiful world? Scott and I both send our love, hugs and blessings.

      1. byngnigel says:

Are you sure you’re not in South FL? Lol.
That temp change can get anyone horribly sick. Please stay safe… and warm.
I get to see the ocean every day if I take another route home, but I dont stop unless it’s my day off.one day, I would be a full-time writer. God willing.

      2. jonicaggiano says:

I believe you could be. Just keep it up my friend. I did not know that the weather changed that frequently, I am glad to hear you get to go to the ocean and enjoy it my friend. You should go with your pad and pencil and write some of that great work of yours by the sea. Hugs and love from both of us. Always

      3. byngnigel says:

Love you guys, too. Maybe this weekend I’ll write by the seaside. Post something fun with some pics

      4. jonicaggiano says:

That sounds wonderful. I never grow tired of pics of the ocean and I know you will be motivated – who knows who might come along to provide some inspiration. YEA!!!!

      5. byngnigel says:

😉 fingers crossed. Ill aim for the sunrise.

      6. jonicaggiano says:

I will be looking for it my friend. Sending our love. xoxoxx

  5. Stay cosy dear Joni and have a lovely weekend xoxoxo

  6. Oh this is stunning and Love the painting accompanying your wonderful appointed place to admire, Joni!💕

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Thanks Cindy. I enjoy art and it took us many hours to pick a piece that was big enough for that space which is the small cozy room where my husband and I spend our evenings together. I think Tiffany has a very unique style and I love her mixed media work too. She too, is a very busy lady. I don’t know how you all juggle all that you do, I guess I a getting old – haha. I guess, I feel like I had my extremely busy days too. I remember working downtown Seattle, volunteering four days a week for different causes in the evening and raising a teenager, who was a gymnast. So it is nice to kick everything down a notch. Big hugs and thank you Cindy.

      1. Oh I love seeing where you sit with Scott and snuggle in. She is gifted like you! We just do it right? Never look back and listen to our soul. xo 🤗

      2. jonicaggiano says:

        xoxoxox Absolutely!

      3. 💯❤️

  7. Oh Joni, I am so honored and humbled by your post and your poem, it so perfectly intertwines with the painting! I’ve always loved that piece, because, like you, the sea is a calming place for me. I love the colors you chose to accent the room those beautiful blue curtains and the soft colored pillows, it all comes together perfectly! I hope that you and Scott enjoy the painting for years to come! Thank you so much for ongoing support and encouragement, it means the world to me!😊💙🤗

    1. jonicaggiano says:

Dear Tiffany, It was such a joy to finally get one of your gorgeous pieces of art in our home. There were so many reasons we chose “Eggs Under Water.” We have had so many wonderful experiences at the ocean in Washington State and all along the Oregon Coast where we were married. The water was a safe place for me as a child and your gorgeous color palette with all the elements of the sea, mystified and calmed me all at the same time. We spend a lot of time in that room. It is our cozy place and also “Our Place,” so it is very personal. We will enjoy your gift, talent, and treasure within this canvas “Eggs Under Water, for as long as we are around. You are such a talented lady and I absolutely loved picking out accessories that matched the soft hues you used to create this surreal painting of the glorious beauty that the sea offers us. Loves, admiration, hugs and blessings

It is time for a call, I will be in touch. Love you bunches!
