“Flicker Of Sun In Winter” Now Live On MasticadoresUSA

nature calls

moss curls beneath

fledgling toes

trees whisper tales

of new saplings

her name ricochets

off her bark

sap ascends

birds indulge

flavorful nectar

sitten on statuesque

willow oak, she listens

    Lovely dear Joni ❤️

Thank you for reading Holly and you kind comment. I know you love the ocean too. When I was in NC I got to go to the coast a lot and when I was young the coast was so different then it is now. There were cafes everywhere and folk singers. All most all the restaurants would have doors that opened up facing the ocean and you could have dinner with a date (I didn’t date much but I would go once in a while) and then you could dance in the sand while you listened to the band. People were more respectful of nature. The ocean always calls to me and I could just sit in front of her shores and dream and relax for hours. Have a wonderful Sunday dear Holly, ❤️

Beautiful, evocative writing, Joni. You know of my fondness for trees, so this one resonates strongly with me. Wonderful stuff, my friend. 😊🌳

Thank you Mike so much for reading and yes I know that you found solace as a boy and still as a man with nature. There is a kindness and awareness in nature that people don’t understand, or many don’t. Sending you my love this Sunday and I hope the sun is shining on your today. ❤️

  5. I could see it all so clearly, Joni, and it reminded me of my childhood.

Oh that is so nice to read Dawn, yes nature is such a good memory of my childhood all my imaginary friends were there and the trees were my friends too, and that is still true today. Big hugs, thank you so much Dawn. Love Joni
