We can flourish as adult children of alcoholics (ACoA) although all our tribulations have been exceedingly unique. Many of our stories bring to mind something comparable to a nightmarish fairy tale. However, I truly believe that our challenges engender an immense strength that resides within us. We can utilize our heightened sense of intuition, compassion, and ability to literally shine! We are blooming, resilient, and unbeaten warriors, living today in this moment, in this day and in this lifetime!
I find that challenges in childhood can become a strength later in life from all the lessons that are learned through the experience.

You are so right. I consider myself to be very blessed in that I am an extremely empathetic individual who has given back to my community. I recognize my blessings and have grown to be a strong decisive individual. I also broke the cycle with my daughter. Thank you so much for your very true and kind comment. Thank you for reading as well it really does mean a lot. Love Joni

My apologies, I didn’t see this comment until just now. I chatted with an accommodating person on WordPress for about an hour to understand how I could be missing comments.
I found out today that WordPress limits the number of notifications you can have (a relatively small amount that’s not configurable). If I don’t respond to comments quickly (which includes new posts on every site I follow), it is likely to drop off. This means I won’t see a comment at all, as I have reached my limit, and the comment drops off.
I should be able to bypass this limitation by checking the comment section of my WordPress account on the computer many times a day. Please accept my apology, and I sincerely hope you have a blessed and fantastic day!

It’s not you Joni. It’s WordPress. There are some strange going ins with many apologies. I have some that I cannot remove error messages if forbidden??? 🤔 not only that but some time fairly recent I commented on a bloggers photography as a shot and later found that I called it shit.🤔…and another time the word Oreo came up????🤔

Hi ya, I am doing this 37 times today. I have been working on this all day. I feel terrible. I didn’t know once you have too many comments they drop off under notifications. I like my phone for commenting. I have a premium plan not the most expensive but I mean the last thing I would ever do is ignore my buddies in WordPress. I have heard of others losing comments. Glad you understand, thanks for being so kind. I can’t be on my phone 24/7. I have to write, cook, dance, sing, drink coffee ☕️ and exercise. No I am not in The New Yorker yet but it is my goal my friend. Hope you had an awesome day my friend. I haven’t even had anytime to read hardly any post today. Well have a great evening. Love, hugs, great tunes and blessings to you my dear friend. Love 💕 Joni

I don’t believe that comments drop off. Not in the terms and agreement. A glitch? Yes. Don’t believe the misconceptions. Take care Joni. Enjoy your day! Singing, dancing and exercising Hugs to you! 🎼💃🏋️♀️

Your too sweet my friend. I guess there is a hole out there some where. My husband made banana muffins for dinner, so I had two. I told him after I made dinner, after I do my indoor biking, I will eat more muffins. See we’re this is heading kind of like the comments. I am just about done with my 37 explanations. Hugs ☕️☕️☕️🤗❤️💕 Joni

Hi Sovely I first want to congratulate you on your award. It is a gift to be recognized by our fellow bloggers. Thank you so much for thinking of me. It means so much to me. So very kind of you. After my first blogging award which meant so much I decided to say thank you and let my heart be touched. It took me eight hours to answer the first one because I struggled and agonized over naming people. So please accept my gratitude, love and appreciation. Have a truly blessed week my friend. Love 💕 Joni

Dear Joni, yes, you are right, blogging awards are time consuming and not everyone likes it. After all I always feel it’s worth to share a smile. That’s my attempt, all this positive energy. I want you to know I always enjoy visiting your blog, my dear friend. My best wishes are with you. Love, Sovely

My parents never touched alcohol, but I had friends who had parents who were alcoholics. I started working for an artisan woodworker when I was 15 years old. I learned so many skills from that man that I still use today. He was an alcoholic and it gave me so much pain during the almost three years I worked for him to watch him slowly run the business and his marriage into ruin. I felt so helpless as a teenager with little life experience to say or do anything that would make a difference.

You are very kind. Even as a teenager you could see the tragedy around you from the alcohol abuse. Sounds like you were an extremely perceptive teenager. I am so glad you were spared that nightmare growing up. Thank you so much for your kind and sensitive comments. Love and hugs Joni. 🌸🌺

You shine beautifully! Also, I love the painting on the header of your blog. It pulls me in. Did you paint it?

Oh thank you so much for your very kind words. I am so glad you like the painting, thank you. I told my daughter about a beautiful place my parents took us, a lake in NC called White Lake. I had a picture of me and my other two siblings 13 months apart each of us there on a raft. She had this painting commissioned for me by an artist in Seattle called Fran Holt. It was a Christmas gift from my daughter. It is very precious to me. Thank you for noticing. Sending loving hugs, prayers and love to you and your family. 🤗💕❤️🙏Joni
