rain falls on hot sidewalks
in the steam i see strangers
a child trips on her red boot
southern flannel moth emerges from a silk cocoon
like a new bride in yellow

Excellent. I like the regional references in the poem. Out here the Monarchs like milkweed and we have mostly light soils.
Thanks Tim we are trying to grow milkweed and it is getting very tall but hasn’t flowered yet. We have them in our bee garden hoping to attached monarchs. We are sitting here admiring your beautiful photographs of where you and your wife live. The clouds, trees and Rio Grande is just amazing. We love the owls and what another great photo. Congratulations on your 38th wedding anniversary, that is wonderful. We are about to celebrate our 24th next month. That heart tree is so magnificent like a gift from God on your land. You both have an incredible day. Love and hugs to you both 🌸🌺❤️Joni
Thanks, Joni. The Tangle Heart Tree is on the edge of the bosque about 1/3 of a mile from our house.
Once the Photographer – Black and White, her name is Cris, she studies in detail for hours prior to posting to pick out great black and white photos only, you may have seen her pics, they are always a blessing to me. She has quite the eye. She once posted a picture of a tree that had a heart shape in it. Love J

Life cycles and echos – what a beautiful parallel, and Joni, I need to tell you I adore this poem. The imagery is magnificent, especially:
