Tears To Flowers

All Photography including gallery below by Joni – Poem © Joni Karen Caggiano

Light sprinkles like pixie dust from my heart. Trees choreograph spiritualistic arches as bird pirouettes on angels’ wings to give gratitude to Our Father.   They balance my senses while roaming the lines of age upon their singing branches like a Panther Chameleon. Paint me in lemon-red colors as tears of euphoria and melancholy drip into my small furrowed hand.

Born from seed was I, floating with Grace within a salty sea. Existence passes by me, but I no longer carry scars like the wounded fledgling who fell from a cradle of solace. I dare fly over your wounded hands, the least in color, for I am the humble Ringneck Dove with a modest head crest. Illumination of thousands of stars, don’t burn my eyes, for You know me, My Lord. You have kept me safe with the Angel Gabriel’s sword.

With my dainty peak, I drop all earthborn wretchedness from my mouth. A lifetime of tears I vigilantly kept within a silk blue cloth tied with a ribbon red. Upon your hands, I now reveal. Tears melt into glorious flowers afloat, in a timeless array, tears for my gift of grace, and my soul only You could heal.

    1. I hope you perhaps got to see your brother. I loved your collaboration poem, it was beautifully done our friend. We had a relaxing day. Thank you for your kind comments on this post, I felt like giving my thanks to God today and prayed and He sent the words to me. I appreciate you reading dear friend. We watched the beginning of the show about Moses which is a very interesting show. The acting is good and the also talk with experts of the Quran as well as the bible and it explains a lot of things I never thought of before. We send our love to you our dear friend. Big hugs and lots of love to you from both of us!

      1. Yes..I started it watching it yesterday as well. But I had to stop as I had to go spend some time with the family. I did get to hangout with Bro. And of course the extended family was there. Kept the tradition alive of playing some tag football with the kids after lunch. Always Fun seeing the kiddos. There’s quite a few of them now. 😆 Thank you Joni.

      2. You are most welcome. I am so glad to hear that you spend time with the family. How wonderful and even some footballs with the little ones. That sounds great Nigel. How lovely. Sending you big hugs and love and your latest collaboration was beautiful! Scott sends his love as well.

      3. I finished it last night. It was quite a good short series. I know how I love anything about history.. especially biblical antiquity. Give my love to Scotty.

    1. Thank you Timothy, I hope that you don’t mind me calling you that, I love that name. I appreciate you reading and glad you liked the piece and the photos. I felt like giving praise to God somehow today. I get blocks like many poets don’t but I prayed before I wrote this and usually the words will come. Blessing my dear friend. Sending my love, Joni

  2. Oh Joni such glorious words, images you create with your phrases and lines. The imagery in my mind is reflected and mirrored by your exquisite photography. Nature bursts from your pen and you capture it with your camera. How beautiful is that!!! Your soul healed, your true gift of grace .

    1. You have been on my mind today my dear friend. Thank you for reading this as I wanted to Give God Praise somehow today, so I prayed and these are the words that came. barak allah fik waeizatuk ya sadiqi alghali fi waqt huznika. laqad kunt fi salawati. 🙏

      1. You’re very welcome and thank you for your caring heart. ❤️ Greatly appreciated. I am doing fine. Love your big hugs and love, warming my heart and day. 🙏🏻

  3. Profoundly beautiful verse as always, and sublime photography. I knew you were involved in photography, but I’ve never seen a gallery of flower images from you before. I’ve always considered wild flowers to be “nature’s haiku” and they were my favorite subject to photograph during my nature photo days. Gorgeous stuff, my friend! 😊

    1. My dear friend, thank you Mike. Scott just said that he saw that you did photography on your site. So I am going in to take a look. Thank you for all your kind and gracious words. I am an amateur photographer and feel blessed to be able to take a picture of God’s beautiful earth. I too love wildflowers and when we first moved here even though it was already getting cold we planted a tiny wildflower garden and they all came up but the deer enjoyed them quickly. So we will have to find deer resistant flowers. I am looking forward to planting. Going in to look at your photographs right now. Sending big hugs and lots of my love your way dear friend. 🌹

    1. Oh thank you for reading dear Anna. I hope that you are feeling well and that you were with family over the holiday. I know that flying is no longer in any way a pleasant experience. I am sending you my love dearest friend. 🌹

    1. Tiffany thank you so much sweetie. I am glad to see you getting much more time to go back to your lovely painting again. Funny I always look forward to your photos. I know that I am very much an amateur especially when I look at Tim Price’s work. However, I do always enjoy your photography because you have such an interesting eye and you find angles and things I would never think to photograph. Sending you love, hugs and prayers for many blessings
