I would like to thank Dagmara and her entire staff for the honor of this publication. Most importantly I am grateful for all the wonderful magazines that have given artist a chance to express themselves and to have their words read. It is always a privilege to appear in Spillwords and it was in this magazine that I read and admired so many gifted writers when I first started out. My dream was to someday be published here and then I would feel I had truly made it. Now I have close to twenty-five pieces published. It feels so good when dreams come true.
Congratulations on this publication Joni!
Thank you so much Francis and for reading, have a blessed day. Hugs from both of us!

I am writing a poem for Christmas day and Francisco is supplying one of his beautiful pieces for the artwork so a collaboration on Hotel. So I have been blocked. You can not just force these things. Sending you loves and hugs from both of us. Love Joni
Wonderful poem, Joni. Congratulations!
Dear Tim thank you so much for reading and your kind comment. It is very appreciated. Blessings to you and your honey along with all the animals you have on your spread. Big hugs and love, Joni
This really touched my heart, Joni! ❤️
Thank you so much Tim. I am glad. It is a very sad tale indeed and that is why I pray for people alone in the world. I like everyone to be blessed with the company of a companion. Life can get really rough with someone to share the ups and downs but I don’t like to think of anyone being alone. Love and hugs, Joni
Congratulations, Joni! I left a comment over there.
Dearest Dawn, thank you so much for caring enough especially to leave a message in both places as it takes time and every one is busy. Sending you enormous hugs, I always enjoying reading your work Dawn. Love, Joni
Likewise, Joni!
🙏
You paint such vivid — and often heart-rending — pictures, Joni. I hope you are enjoying your new home and that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Much love, A. <3 <3 <3
Dearest Anna, I am sending you my love, hugs and appreciation of you many years of support. We will not see our daughter at Christmas she takes her family to Vail, Colorado for at least a week. The grandkids have gotten so big. They are already growing up. I am going to call your number today in hopes that I can reach you. Much of the trees are deciduous here so we can see a house that is way back across many acres in front and to the right of us – great people. We had many more pines so we were pretty isolated in the winter too. We enjoy the cows so much. The are free-range and I mean they really are – which is a blessing cattle farmers. Blessings to you my friend. I love you and your family Anna.
Nigel is right: this poem is haunting beautiful, dreamlike, and deeply poignant. It’s like being led by hand into another world for a brief excursion into grief, and the winter setting is perfect. Brilliant writing, my friend. 🙂
Wow, I am humbled and so touched by your very gracious words and Nigels. I will admit this piece after it sat for a day or two I read it again and it made me cry. So keeping in mind, that I use to cry at AT and T commercials, I cry easily. I have plenty of things to think upon if I need or feel like writing a piece about grief. The way you describe the way it made you feel, “being led by hand into another world” is what I often hope to obtain but it is not easy. Thank you so much Mike for the wonderful comment. I have a tremendous amount of respect for your writing. By the way Mike I truly pray for you and that God does have a plan for love in your life. 🌹
It’s my pleasure, Joni–your writing is exquisite and deeply moving. I appreciate the kind words, as always. 🙂
