where is our silk top bed
evaporation when wed
did love migrate like the arctic tern
does another make those earlobes burn
swans fly by on bloodshot fabric in my dream
pulling up tiles, bricks, looking for my self-esteem

  1. Beautiful poetry as always Joni. Such a unique style and voice. I could sense a downward spiral at the begining, and yet a spirit of defiance. Indefinitely brings chaos eventually, and one person is left picking up the pieces ..seeking their self esteem.
