My New Piece “Cusp of Spring” Now on Masticadoresindia

Artist by Deviant Art – One Last Kiss Before Dying – Artist Joanna Wedrychowska via Pinterest – Poem by Joni

youthful buds whisper

tiny voices animate

stolen secrets weave

does, calves leaping

jesting with siblings

grassland tickles bare

shoulder, he is smitten

giggles come softly

fledgling’s plump lips

quiver as butterfly kisses

on soft velvety cheeks

elicit joyous moans

amidst tears, she utters

love you, my cherished

red-headed woodpecker

plays a jazzy drum beat

You may have noticed I am not online as much as usual.  My husband and I have been getting ready to move, and if the Lord is willing, hopefully, we will be moving in about a month and a half.   I appreciate all of my readers, followers, and good friends.  Many of you feel like family to me, and the support that you have offered means the world.  I will still post on MasticadoresIndia and MasticadoresUSA, but only occasionally on Instagram and Twitter.  This should be for just the rest of this month.  I will continue to pray for all of you and the world we live in to become a more peaceful place for humans and nature.

  1. Beautiful; evocative poem as always Joni! 😊😁👌👏❤️ The very best of wishes for your house move. Hope it’s not too stressful for ye & get everything you need packed up. 🤞🤞

    1. Thank you so much Ken for your lovely words. Thank you. I appreciate your best wishes too. Moving is never fun. We are giving many things away. Now they make movies of your house, drones fly over to show fews an someone comes in with a laser do-hicky and measure every square foot of the house even though that has already been done. Technology, the world is changing, question is – can we all keep up? Have a wonderful weekend Ken and many blessings, Joni

      1. Movies of your house and drone views, jeepers! That’s a bit mad alright! 🤪 Not sure we’ll ever fully keep up. Though I’m familiar with laser measuring thingy. Have seen it done a couple of times on my parent’s house and current house. Hope ye’ve a wonderful weekend too! 🤞🙏😁

      2. It is a lot, things get more and more complicated. Hope to see you published soon Ken. Hope you are putting some feelers out there my friend. You all have a great weekend too. Big hugs, Joni

    1. Dear Nigel thank you so much for reading and I am glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting an opportunity to read you again here too. Sending big hugs, Joni

    1. You are most welcome. I like how our images played off of each others, you covered one side of the metaphors for love and I the other. Thank you Terveen, looking forward to hearing from you. Big hugs and enjoy your weekend. Joni

    1. Thank you Francis for reading it is very kind of you. I know how swamped you are, such an incredibly talented soul that works so hard. Some times I wonder when you two find time to sleep. Big hugs and Scott and I send our love too. xoxoxoxo

    1. Thank you Tim, my kind friend. I appreciate you so much. How is the new book selling? My guess is, by the reviews it is flying off the shelf. Sending you great big hugs and lots of love, Joni. Right now, so many people are publishing poetry; they are folks I know and some of the books I am in. I have a friend that I think would really like your book, and she reads all the time. I will get her your book and have it delivered by Amazon. She reads a book a week and even more sometimes. Her name is Janette. I will ask her to write a review for you when she is done. She is a real jewel. Then when I have time to read the book, I will order it for myself. Right now, it is something else I would need to move. So if you see a review by a lady named Janette in WA, that is who it will be. Sending you lots of love, appreciation, and many blessings.

    1. Thank you, dear Nancy; one could say the same about you. Keep on publishing those beautiful stories of yours, my friend. There are three English publishing sites on Masticadores now. MasticadoresIndia, MasticadoresUSA and MasticadoresRomania. All three editors are just incredibly lovely and talented people. I will be watching for you. Blessings Nancy and thank you for always being so kind, Love Joni

  2. A lovely harbinger of Spring. I hope the move goes smoothly, dear friend, and that you are even happier in your new home than you have been in the old. With love, A. <3

    1. Thank you, my wonderful friend. We are looking at West Virginia, Lexington, Virginia, Washington, and Oregon, but I think it will just be too expensive for us to move to WA State again. Hope you are doing well, Anna and sending up blessings for your sweet family Anna. Big hugs and love, Joni

    1. Thank you for reading and for your gracious comment Manuela. I appreciate it so much. Hoping you and yours have a wonderful weekend. Big hugs and appreciation. Joni

      1. 🌹🦋🌹 I have been encouraging people to look you up and to submit as I believe you are still accepting submissions. Please let me know if that is not right. Big hugs and gratitude, Joni 🦋

      2. Everyone does not know you are taking English submissions, even though I know you have posted this information. If I wasn’t moving and busy writing for something extremely important to me, I would submit it as well. Maybe after April. Sending lots of happiness, hugs, and respect to all you editors. What a great job you are all doing! Joni 🌹

      3. Thank you so very much, I truly appreciate it Manuela. How thoughtful of you, thank you so much too, that means a lot to me. 🌹

  3. Good morning dear Joni.
“Please give me one last kiss,
please hold me, like you cannot release me.
    Please whisper to me,
    I love you so and
    please return to me.
    Please tell me.
I will save kisses for you till our lips can meet again.”

    1. Hello Dearest John; I have missed your lovely poems, my friend. What a sweet way to tell me you have missed my visits by writing me a poem. Thank you, John. I will visit you today. I am missing everyone. Just been so busy. Of course, I also know if everyone used that excuse, we would no longer have any editors of magazines as they all work so hard. But having a house on the market and being ready for a showing at any time is stressful for someone who loves her quiet. Not to mention a butcher forest behind us and that I am busy writing. Great poem, John. Sending you my hugs and love. Hope the grandkids are doing well and making happy noises around the house.

      1. Hello dear Joni. Hard few days. One of my youngest sister died. She had many sicknesses. I dislike the funerals and the goodbyes. Otherwise grandchildren are doing well. I hope you are doing well and making time to have some fun.

      2. Oh John my dear friend. I am so very sad to hear this, these are always such difficult times. I have said a prayer for you and will keep you in my prayers. When a family member dies who is younger it is particularly painful. I truly don’t know what to say except I have dealt with death and it left me in shock for a while. Dear John give yourself time to grieve. Be kind to yourself. I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you for reaching out. Love and hugs 🤗

      3. Of course, dear friend, I will remember you in my prayers; thank you for reaching out, we are all family in God’s eyes, and you are my family too. May God wrap you in HIs Loving Grace as I know that He is what keeps me going when things get rough.

      4. It is always so hard to lose anyone, especially someone we love who is young. You need to let yourself grieve, my friend. I am praying for you. Love Joni

      5. Continuing prayers for you and many in the community right now. Sending you lots of blessings my friend. Lots of love to you and your family. Love Joni

    1. Thank you so much Tiffany. By the way that last painting really rocked. Sending lots of love, hugs and so happy you are selling more and more paintings in shows. Blessings and love, Joni
