“I Linger” Now Live on MasticadoresIndia

water wrinkles
speaking calmly to me
wildly I hunt amid ageless cypress trees
flooded with water, their twisted knees
devour traveling fresh air
becoming yawning stalactites
at night, crimson embers fly skyward
as fireflies graze between pines
epochs old as men eat flesh from elk

    1. Thank you Tim I really appreciate you reading me on MasticadoresIndia. I never see fire flies anymore put it was such a pleasure when we first moved to NC together they were all over the place. I hope killing all the trees to put up bigger houses everywhere is not killing them. They are special. Sending my love to you and Laura. Big hugs

      1. We don’t have fireflies out here. I don’t get the bigger and bigger houses thing.

      2. Neither do we my friend. We buy second hand close, generate only one large container of trash per year as we compost everything. We capture rain water, etc. Our world won’t last forever. I know how you love nature Tim. I hope the owls are ok since the neighbor had to cut the tree down. I hope they stay in the nest you built them. Big hugs Tim 🦋

      1. Hello wise one. I wish we could have a cuppa coffee on the porch together today. Although I know I would have to make you a cup of tea I’d be grateful to do it. You’d be looking out over the Rockies from Tennessee. I will post a picture of it later today it’s beautiful here. Sending my love. 🦋❤️🌹🤗

  1. Your pictures are getting more intense and so do your words. Trees do give us an ageless feelings, probably because they can live much longer than us…
