rebirth

Photography by pexels-xue-guan – Poem by Joni Caggiano

seven fingers my body’s jutting leaves of gold and orange
blood red is the drifting moon shadowing vivid images
stunning the crystal tree exposing her icy white teeth
velvety silence fashioning a rebirth to cherish
safely surrounded by the Jordan and John the Baptist
escorting lost souls into the cleansing water of Christ

    1. Thank you John. You are very gracious to me. Hope you have a blessed weekend. This week for the first time I was able to go to a restaurant (that is still social distancing) with a girlfriend. We are both high risk for different reasons so I have mostly been inside. Blessings to you my friend. Love and hugs 🤗 Joni

  2. Rebirth is definitely starting Joni, perhaps not of man yet, but of nature. Most leaves are gone here and we have had some frost, but not the winter white of hoarfrost yet. That is coming. Thanks for sharing your vivid words. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs. Allan 🤗🤗

    1. I bet it is beautiful there. Thank you for reading and your kind words Allan. I have such a vivid memory of being around seven and staying at my aunts in a tiny town in NC. There was a big ice storm warning. We had no electricity that night but they had heat. The next morning all the trees were reflecting the bright rays of the sun and it was the most beautiful thing I have every seen. Please take good care of yourself and love to you and your family. 🤗❤️Joni

    1. I hope you are feeling well Allan. Sorry you had a bad night. Hope you are getting some rest. You and your family are real hard core nature lovers like we are. Sending you big hugs my friend. 🤗❤️💕 By the way I always enjoy your poems when you include them. Very lovely. ❤️🤗 Joni

    1. What a lovely thing to say David. Thank you for your kind comment it means a lot. By the way have you ever heard of the company Amdocx? We had a lot of friends from Israel that worked at western wireless. We were even blessed enough to get invited to a holiday dinner once. It was special to us. God’s own chosen people. Wishing you and your precious family much love David. ❤️🤗🙏Joni

  4. Love the elegance of the huge tree, and even so, it doesn’t overshadow the beauty of your poetry but enhances it. I feel happiness and sadness. I feel not all lost souls end up here, but are saved and go on. I think the sadness is for those that travel that route too soon.

    1. Well put my friend. I also believe that. I couldn’t have worded it better myself. I just used a lot of imagery to describe my way of thinking. I believe we move on right away actually. Thank you for such a kind comment. Hope all is well with you Brenda. Sending you lots of love, hugs and appreciation. Have a great evening sweetie. Love ❤️ Joni

  5. I am doing well, working on podcasts. I am a slow learner and most of the instructions are written like I know a lot more than I do. The good thing about slow learners, they usually keep the information. I will get it, but on my timetable. I so love your poetry, I think I understand it better than I do other poetry, maybe because it speaks to me. We are trying to get approved for a house. It will take time because I will not buy at the height of the market. I am hoping it settles down a little. We’ll see! Take care, ❤😊

    1. Dear Brenda that you for your kind words regarding my poetry. I am glad you love my poetry and understand it, as that means so very much to me. We too have been trying to find a house in the mountains to buy and sell this one at the same time. It is crazy here in NC too. We made an offer on two separate homes in the mountains and one got in a bidding war and we step aside the other we did some digging and found out there was likely a big deception going on and we did not sign the last document. God was watching out for us. The heat is becoming too much for me. I stay locked in the house 7 months out of the year. Bless your heart you will get podcast, I know you will. Your smart not to buy at the height of the market. Who knows what is coming. I wish you all the best with your podcasting and with your search for your home. Sending my love to you my friend. Stay safe, love Joni xoxoxoxo

  6. It is good that you are smart too. Buying a house is a scary time. I used to say, “Sellers are yellers, and Buyers are liars” because you should never take either side’s word for anything, Investigate, Investigate, and Investigate. Let those buyers get involved with a bidding war, step back, and watch. If the house was meant for you, it will be yours. Good luck to both of us! Take care and hugs to you both. ❤❤😍

    1. Boy Amen that is so true my friend. I love that line too sad that is often the absolute truth. Same with you two. Have a blessed day my friend. 🤗❤️💕🥰🙏
