ardor cuts into the soles of my feet
blood stirring as I run to the sea
leaves of green grow from each finger
seaweed flowing from my head in curls

  1. You are well on your way to “Author of the Year”. I know I would vote for you. Congratulations on yet another well deserved moment of recognition! I am proud of you!

    1. Brad you are so kind. What a sweet note to wake up to. Thank you so much for saying you are proud of me that means more than you know. I think you are deserving of that prize and I would vote for you as well. We have a mutual admiration thing going on. I wonder what you have been up to this week beside writing your beautiful words? Sending you love, hugs and prayers always. 🤗❤️💕Jonikins

    1. Thank you so much Francisco. Your lovely words are always so appreciated. Is the weather still nice for you two in Turkey or is it starting to get cold? It is in the seventies here in the morning now and this is my favorite time of the year. Have an amazing week you two. Sending my love. ❤️🤗💕

      1. Always my pleasure Joni, your lovely words are paintings from the heart. Yes, it has gotten cold here and very windy for the last few days, in Fahrenheit it is about 62 degrees, but I hope that it does warm up a bit more before we leave. Take good care and all the best, our love to you both. 🌹❤😊

      2. Best of care to you two as well. That is already light jacket weather. You must have beautiful light in your studio there. Hugs 🤗 Joni

    1. Thank you Tim you are a sweetheart. I loved the photograph too. Sometimes they don’t have the photographers name and I don’t even like to use those. It feels like stealing. If I had lots of money I would love to buy my photographs but this gets to be expensive as it is and it isn’t like I am making money on any work. I retired very early. I feel blessed that we were able to do that but I am modest and don’t get into buying a bunch of “things.” Love to you guys and thanks for always being so kind. 🤗❤️💕

  2. Congratulations Joni!
This is such a lovely poem. It’s a fusion of life and nature.
There is no distinction or separation.
To birth such emotion and passion is a gift not many have.
    You are blessed. 🙂

    1. I am blown away by your comment. I can tell you that your words mean so much to me.

    1. Thank you so much John. You have been such a wonderful supportive friend. I am grateful for your kindness. Did you ever see the series “Hell on Wheels?” It was semi historical about how the Transcontinental Railroad was built. We really enjoyed it. Amazon has it on sale for $45.00. It was so good. Have a blessed day my friend. Love ❤️ Joni

    1. You are a darling. Thank you so much. People’s attention span is so short, and so is mine. It is really hard to keep someone interesting if a piece is over as minute. Love you 🤗❤️💕

      1. You are so deserving and I think they say no one has much more than an attention span of a goldfish 9 second … lol!
At least we’re doing better than that right 😂 💕👏👏👏👏xoxox

      1. It will always reside there. Is, I think, one of the beautiful things about connecting deeply with such lovely poetry, and lovely poets, like you. Lucky, am I. Much love to you. 💖😍💖
