Cleansing Rain

blood drips from my heart
my silk gown grows thorns
blinded by yellow from the start

drowning in my own skin
flowers grow from fingers
a vase of emotions growing thin

angry at God, I fall down
another day lily dies slow
tears become an ocean of sound

my cart is deep with pain
brands of scentless sorrow
naked, I await the cleansing rain

Note from Joni: Hello my fellow friends and artists. I have some long overdue maintenance to do on my computer that the fairies can’t figure out and will likely be busy reassuring them, so if I miss something, please know that I will get back to it as soon as I can and am able to.   1. I felt the fairy dust settle on me and felt your love and hugs. Take your time, yoursweet fairy dust will hold me until we meet again! Your poem was so deep and sad and longing, but beautiful!

    1. Oh you are so sweet Shweta, they finally did and I did have to buy a new phone but they were able to wipe my computer and with lots of help we finally got the backup working as well. A bit scary for a short while. I am an anxious person, so I appreciate your well wishes more than you know. Sending lots of love and hugs, Joni xoxoxox

    1. You are a sweetheart Cassa. It was tricky there for a bit. Both my phone and computer were acting up at the same time. I had to buy a new phone and had to wipe my computer and then the download wasn’t working. So much anxiety with my work as the cloud makes me nervous also.     1. Thank you Brad, I am so glad you liked it. I have some catching up to do. I had to buy a new phone as my old one was no longer working and could not be fixed and then my computer had to be wiped at an Apple store after three hours of trouble shooting with the Apple specialist, those folks are very helpful and kind. Still I was a wreak that they had to wipe it and then my back-up wasn’t working at first. Lots of interesting, anxiety provoking things that are now settled, thank the Great Lord above. I had to replace my phone and then had a problem with the download and also had to take my computer to an actual store at a mall (if you can believe that) to try and fix a bug. They had to wipe it which always scares me. Then we had problems with the download of the back up. Needless to say I know you can appreciate how it can be a bit scary when you have to take everything off your computer. It all worked out in the end. I got my new phone and it is a long story which meant a visit to the mall (can you believe it) but between the Apple store and then help on line with downloading my data I am back in business today.
