I wait for sleep to drift like a cloud with smiles into my room
my eyelids, like muted shutters, as I cover them with sheets
silence is a dragging chain that rocks the chair nearby
silkworms are moving in their cocoon in a Country far away
yearning for an answer, to a question, I seek GOD as I pray
butterflies and forgotten tooth fairies come to sing
wind rustles leaves and sends fragrances through red bricks
my mother’s hand once rubbed my forehead when I was five
a ballerina stands in mid-air turning to the sound of time
grateful as I awaken to the song of the Blue Jay and sunshine

Oh, thank you so much. I am so glad you liked it my friend. It is about those strange dreams we have especially as children. I wish I still dreamed of flying as I could up until I was a very young woman and then no more. Love to you and yours and thank you for your sweet comment. Blessings to you. 🌺🌸❤️Joni

Oh thank you Stuart I am grateful you enjoyed the poem. I was definitely thinking about childhood dreams when I wrote it. Delighted you liked the picture. My husband took this in our bee and butterfly garden with his iPhone and I cropped it at an intersection. I will let him know you liked it. Thank you Stuart. Love to you and yours. Joni

Yes, true. Dreams can be pretty crazy!
Thank you so much for the sweet wishes my friend, but it has been a shocking week so far. A young and very successful Bollywood actor committed suicide on Sunday. The entire nation is shook. It is hard to come to terms with this heartbreaking news. He was such a talented actor, and an intellectual person. We lost a true gem.
Thank you so much for your love and blessings. My week will be better now, I’m sure. ❤

I am sorry. It is always upsetting when someone young dies. I did some searching and found a very handsome young man, Sushant Singh Rajput had died. I am assuming this is the young actor you are referring too. I am sorry. I don’t watch the news it depresses me too much. I check the CDC reports but not much else. Yes, it is tragic when anyone young dies. We just don’t know why and I understand how I get attached to actors I love to watch. I hope you have a better week my friend and I am sorry for your sorrow. When someone takes their own life it is particularly hard. There is no time to grieve and it is devastating to the family. I lost both of my parents to suicide before I was thirty. So I do understand how shocking this can be. You should do something especially wonderful for yourself. Treat yourself to something you love and honor him that way. Love and many hugs my friend, feel better. I am sending virtual hugs, and lots of flowers your way sweet Ishita. 🌸🌺💐🌸🤗🤗 Joni

Yes, I was talking about Sushant Singh Rajput. It is tragic indeed. Thank you so much for your kind words and wishes Joni. They mean so much to me. “I lost both….” Dear Joni, it must have been so hard. And shocking. Thank you once again for your really kind words. I’ll definitely do something to make me feel better. Thank you for your love, hugs and beautiful flowers. Sending some your way too❤❤❤

“And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice” (1 Kings 19: 11-12). ❤
