My God

a tear ran down the circular stairs
chasing after its salty twin
tiny candles burned out loud in song
until wick and wax were tired
eyelashes fluttered until taking flight
sad eyes red from sorrow glimpsed
feet frolicked in red high heel shoes
thenceforth wheels held brittle bones
young baby twins cried at a funeral
a grandmother never to be known
he who died without sin in Golgotha
rose again to be My God and Father

    1. Oh thank you so much Tangie you are such a kind Tangie. I did not know I was nominated for the ideal inspirational blog. Thank you Tangie I will have to look at this after church. I hope you have an amazing Sabbath. Love 💕 and hugs Tangie. I appreciate your kind support so much always. Hugs my friend Joni

  1. I especially love the final 2 lines–and your photo, with Heaven’s light shining through the gorgeous tree tops. May you be abundantly blessed<3

    1. Oh thank you Rhen I was trying to show the cycle of life on earth, our worldly life and then our final life and full cycle we end with our Father who made it all to start with for his children. 💕 love and blessings this Sabbath. 🌺🌸😘❤️ Joni

      1. I know when I was little I use to yell at God to pick me up and take me to heaven and then I would wait sometimes in the rain for God to come and get me. Now I am ready whenever he is but grateful for my days. God loves us so much but he didn’t say it would be easy. Life can be full of pain and then there is joy.
It is hard not to want to be with God, Jesus and to talk up the disciples as well. Imagine talking to Paul or Moses. I love you Rhen and I pray that God will bring you abundant joy. Love you sister.

      2. Ohhh my…I have such a visual of you waiting in the rain for God to come get you! Bless your heart. We do yearn to be home with Him! But I’m seeing, in my latter years now–that truly He saves the best for last. I’ve never felt so rich before, joyful amid the tough times, leaning into HIM always. YES, I want Moses to greet me at the gate, as he’s one of my top faves!! Of course, Jesus has to be #1, but you know what I mean, I think 🙂 <3 Love you muchly!

      3. Yes I do know what you mean sweetie. Who wouldn’t want to chat up Moses. Yes it was quite the site. I also prayed out-loud in school as well anytime the spirit moved me. I am sure everyone-thought I was crazy but I don’t care. God gave me a God fearing teacher that year. Love you sweet Rhen. Joni ❤️💕🙏😘

      4. Oh wow, what a blessing–to have a God-fearing teacher, and such freedom to pray out loud in school–WOW!! School has changed so much–when I was in elementary grades there was at least a trace of God allowed. But HE got kicked out, officially, and look what we’ve reaped with all the school shootings, loss of young lives. Makes me very sad. And kids who are brave enough to stand up for HIM can get suspended–what are the secular folks so afraid of?? Sorry, I got carried away–much love to you, dear Sister <3

      5. Yes, it should be allowed as long as it’s not disruptive–same as any other activity, respect is key. Love you too, sister <3

      2. Never any need to apologize my dear friend. I know you are a busy woman. I do hope you can take your time off and enjoy it. What a blessing that would be. Teachers, University Professors and all the folks that work in academia are often under appreciated. Teaching is one of the most important professions that exists. Teaching the young people which will hopefully help make important sustainability decisions our fragile world. Also people that will recognize the importance of the arts.
You take care too Button. Love honeybun 😘🌺🌸❤️

      3. Thank you for your beautiful words Joni. Like my father used to say: teachers, professors, doctors, nurses, and priests (pastors, rabbis. whatever). What would we do without them? Oh, ARTS, of course. That’s sublime.
