Silence broken by gentle breezes
Honeysuckle fragrance teases
Green anoles behind vines chase
Golden yellow a path birds trace
Hedgehog slug when angry leaves
I sing now to the clapping of our trees

Tiny wren chicks in an ample nest
Large voice put to the warbling test
Willow oaks from acorns buried grow
Squirrels hide them from their many foe
Small boy with asthma jumps and plays
Air quality zero, he has felt joy for days

      4. My apologies, I didn’t see this comment until just now. I chatted with an accommodating person on WordPress for about an hour to understand how I could be missing comments.

        I found out today that WordPress limits the number of notifications you can have (a relatively small amount that’s not configurable). If I don’t respond to comments quickly (which includes new posts on every site I follow), it is likely to drop off. This means I won’t see a comment at all, as I have reached my limit, and the comment drops off.

        I should be able to bypass this limitation by checking the comment section of my WordPress account on the computer many times a day. Please accept my apology, and I sincerely hope you have a blessed and fantastic day!

  2. One thing about this pandemic, I think it’s causing the planet to heal a little from the damage humans continue to inflict, and nature has become more revealing in the process. Unfortunately, the real virus/pandemic is humans on our planet, and all for the pursuit of money and comfort, which will eventually assure our mutual destruction. That’s why I see God’s hand in all this, and hopeful this pandemic can help us to see that a little more clearly.

      1. I post once every day, but I do think things have picked up a bit. I, too, struggle to stay up to speed on all the writers and artists I follow. Luckily, I seem to have a lot of time in a day right now. Stay safe and well! ❤💕💖

  6. Thank you Joni beautiful words on our changing planet. The Wren they have powerful voices for one so small, and to know the rate of asthma is decreasing with the cleansing. We have to go back to a better world.

Yes, I so wish we could all just take care of our beautiful world. We really work hard to do all the things we can. We are so grateful for all the beautiful things God made and continues to make. We got to watch the baby Wrens fly away today from their nest. They were so tiny as they eventually made it to the woods behind the house. It was so exciting, I wish you could have seen it Button.
