My Compass

My eyes drift to paradise where angels dwell
Bashfully soft notes of a flute wafting gently over
Ocean’s waves playing hypnotizing heart tunes
Rhythmic sounds changing as the small chasm
Of my instrument seals with sea’s thick salt
Lids closing blind my nose now my compass
Smells of sweat and sandalwood intoxicating
Warm touches both soothing and arousing
Gardenia and lavender mixes with keen senses
Traveling through me invisible beams of sunlight
Rainbows of color explode, and exhaustion befalls

    1. Oh thank you so much beautiful Button. You are always so kind with your sweet words. I am so glad you like it. I have been working on four pieces to submit so I have been busy. I have completed working with my daughter. It was a blessing. I hope that you are still well and you must be excited about your new book. I am going to pre-register as orders for delivery are slowed significantly. Stay well Button and thanks again for your kind comment. Love πŸ’• Joni πŸŒΊπŸŒΈπŸ’–

      2. Thank you Beautiful Button. I appreciate your encouragement. It has meant so much to me. Yes it was a blessing working with my daughter. Thank you so much. It is taking us about twice as long to get orders delivered. My husband and I are buying your book as a gift for both of us. It is a joy to find a poet you both really enjoy. You stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful week my friend. Love Joni πŸ’•β€οΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΊ

    1. First congratulations my dear friend. You are very deserving of this award and recognition. Thank you for your thoughtful and kind nomination. You are an absolute sweetheart. I will take a stab at participating as you were kind enough to nominate me. It may take a few days. I loved your answers to your questions and it is so nice to get to know people better who you relate too as well as enjoy their work. Sometimes tears are ok. I loved your honest and beautiful tribute to your father. Love and hugs my dear friend. Joni β€οΈπŸ’•πŸ˜˜
