Yellow legs plump with pollen move
with steadfast zeal to each snowy bloom
Occupying her spring business by eyeing
pridefully her beauty in the reflection of
mirror image rather than this star, a rare breed
Known for her salient clusters of scarlet berries
vivid male Bluebirds come to feast upon
Her tangled web of thick branches heavy
these hunted berries are a delicacy for many
Shameful her oblivious behavior for without
this vital visitor she would utterly cease to be
Strange the wealth and abundance, yet guilty
until nature’s musts are gone, we just don’t see

Thank you kind friend. You are right it is good to be busy. I do worry about those living in close environments with abusive situations as those will likely get worse. Due to my childhood background I worry about all that could be closed in with the elephant in the room, what ever that may be. So we just keep praying. Oh, Sister–I agree with you that we must pray for those who would escape if they could: “Lord, protect them, keep Your strong and able hand on those confined in homes where love does not reign, until You bring them into a better place of peace and safety. We know You will, and we thank You now–in Your Name above all names, JESUS–Amen”. <3 (My background had both loud and silent elephants, and I felt imprisoned for so long. When I was 13-14 I asked Jesus into my heart at a friend's summer Bible camp–but it was seed in desert sand, couldn't grow. Nonetheless, I realize now that God was pleased to keep His protective hand on me–He knew the beautiful faith which would yet flourish. Praising and thanking Him again today.) I love this poem. Bees are so very vital to our growth in all the beautiful flowers we see & the food we eat. I have bee friendly plants & flowers in my yard for them to enjoy & bless them for visiting my garden. Thank you for this lovely poem in the beginnings of Spring time!
