  1. Congratulations, sweetheart. Five stars. A tale told majestically by your beautiful, seductive words. This poem is to die for. It drips with metaphors and it blesses the reader.
    Bravo Joni.
    You are great.
Have a wonderful weekend, my dear.

    1. Thank you That is such great praise coming from the well deserved Author of The Year. You have been such a blessing to me. I have grown as a poet by reading many people’s fine work but yours has influenced me the most. The greatest form of flattery. I was really trying something I have never done before so I am glad you thought it worked. You have a blessed day sweet Gabriela. Love 💕 Joni

      1. Oh, thank you Joni. Forget about me being the author of the year. This is not about me. This is now about your magnificent work. It is magnificent and you deserved the praise.

Thank you for saying I inspire you. That makes me really happy. It makes me feel blessed.

      2. I can’t believe I am just seeing this. How sweet you are beautiful button. I got the shingles vaccine and have been pretty sick for three days. You are an inspiration Gabriela not just because of your amazing writing but your sweet heart. You are a beautiful, talented and highly successful woman and you just want to inspire and help others. That is a rare but blessed thing these days. Thank you for your sweet words I don’t know how I missed them as they mean so much. I have been reading your older poems on Spillwords to my husband today. I am so much better. No wonder you are a professor, you must be fabulous. I am sorry if I embarrass you with this praise but please accept it for what it is – me being grateful to have met such a unique and kind hearted soul I relate too. My husband is also in awe of your beautiful words. He has great taste. Love 💕 Joni

      3. I am so glad you are feeling better. Joni. That vaccine is probably a very good idea, but it has its side effects. May the rest of your week be bright for you sweetheart.

Hon, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You really made me blush. I am really humbled by the praise. I agree with you on one point: helping others. As I tell my colleagues: one day I am going to leave the academia and I am not going to take with me the distinctions that I got or I will get, not even my publications. I will pack in a big box all thank you cards that my students wrote to me saying “Thank you. You changed my life” or “Thank you. I will not be where I am now without you.” I will take with me only their love.

May love and the blessings of God be always with you Joni.
You are so talented and you are a great soul.
Thank you for reading my poems and sharing them with your husband. I am honored and humbled by your gesture.
