Nature’s Wake Up Call

The hummingbird flew towards the vivid, red Cardinal flower,
Sweet was the nectar that gave its tiny wings such power.
Bumblebees with prickly legs covered with yellow pollen,
While Chickadees steal from an old bird’s nest that has fallen.
Oh blessed is the morning view from where I rest my head,
Nature calls ingeniously to me, “Get up from your lazy bed!”
Trees are clapping, and dandelions are bobbing yellow tops,
For God’s green earth is dancing in His glory that never stops!
